If you’ve never been to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in California, I suggest you go. You can see trees that are thousands of years old–the oldest in the world in fact. It’s about 9,000 feet up in the White Mountains, just east of Bishop. Bring some warm clothes and extra water for the trip.
The picture above was actually taken at the end of the trip, as I was heading out of the National Park. It was about twenty minutes after sunset.
